welcome
we’re so glad you decided to visit us.

If you are joining us for our 10:15 a.m. service, here is a brief guide to help you feel at home.

Parking

Parking is available in the gravel lot to the right as you enter campus, as well as in the main parking lot straight ahead.

children & Families

Children are an important part of our community. During the 10:15 service, children preschool through age 12 are welcome to participate in Godly Play.

Families are also welcome to make use of the craft table at the back of the church, our nursery, and the carpeted area with soft toys for babies and toddlers located to the right of the altar.

during the service

As you enter the church, our greeters will welcome you and our ushers will provide you with a service bulletin. The bulletin contains the order of service, hymn numbers, and page references for the liturgy.

In the pews, you will find a red Book of Common Prayer and a blue hymnal. The bulletin will guide you to the appropriate pages throughout the service.

Following the Peace, there will be a brief time for parish announcements and updates. At this time, the Rector also offers prayers and blessings for those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

holy communion

When it is time for Communion, an usher will guide you to the altar. The congregation typically approaches by the center aisle and kneels at the altar rail.

All are welcome to come forward. If you would prefer a blessing rather than receiving Communion, simply cross your arms over your chest. If you receive Communion and would like the bread intincted (dipped in the wine), you may indicate this to the minister by pointing toward the chalice

Whatever brings you to St. John’s, we are grateful for your presence. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our parish, please do not hesitate to reach out. We hope you find a warm welcome, meaningful worship, and a place to grow in faith with us.

coffee hour

After the service, we invite you to join us in the Parish Life Center—the large building near the parking lot—for coffee hour. This is a time for conversation, refreshments, and fellowship, and a wonderful opportunity to meet members of the congregation.
